Sunday Afternoon at Mom's!

We had a great afternoon at Mom's today.  She made Sloppy Joes, Jenny made potato salad, I made the yummy salad (shown below) and Yvette made her turtle cookies.  It was so good and I had such a good time.  We have been doing this a lot recently and I think it is just what our family needs!  FAMILY TIME!  Thanks for having us over Mom!!

I made this salad.... first time I think I have ever bought avocados.
As silly as it sounds, I never knew what to do with them, but today I wasn't scared.
I figured this salad could count as one of my "Dinner Time" meals!

Here is another quicky dinner I whipped up.  I actually did it on Wednesday the 29th but never posted the picture..... well I think it still counts for today because Emily had some left-overs for lunch, and I finished it off for dinner.  Nothin' fancy, but it's something.  It was actually a very nice dinner on Wednesday, just me and Emily.

Black Bean Soup and Rice

I am trying to have more home-cooked meals for me and the kids.  I feel that maybe...... if I keep track of some of the yummy things make (or in this case, heat up) it will keep me going.  We will see.  I didn't do so good with the 156 and counting thing, so I figure maybe I will take it in a whole new direction.....LOL.  Any way, here is what we had tonight.  By the way it is 171 now - no kidding, 171........

It was just me and Emily tonight and we both liked it!  We will have to do it again some time!
