Black Bean Soup and Rice

I am trying to have more home-cooked meals for me and the kids.  I feel that maybe...... if I keep track of some of the yummy things make (or in this case, heat up) it will keep me going.  We will see.  I didn't do so good with the 156 and counting thing, so I figure maybe I will take it in a whole new direction.....LOL.  Any way, here is what we had tonight.  By the way it is 171 now - no kidding, 171........

Progresso Black Beans and Jalapenos with rice, served with shredded cheese and sour cream..... as you can see, the cour cream is not photoed!

It was just me and Emily tonight and we both liked it!  We will have to do it again some time!

Wrong turn....... Back on track now

OK - things are out of control....

I was 156 and counting down....... Now I am 165, I went the wrong way.

I am making it public, well at least to the five people who read my stupid posts.

I have to lose this weight or I will not fit into my clothes, not good.  So I started again today.  Here is my graph - the gray line is the goal, and I am the green dot - can't see it well yet, it is sitting right on top of the grey goal line!

I am giving myself 3 months for 15 lbs..... tough challenge, but I will try!!!!

Yummy Cookies

So, I just finished submitting Unit 4 for my Nursing Transitions Class at SJCM - online.  Just had to share a funny story.  I am sitting here feeling fat after my fun birthday weekend.  I feel so bad I am afraid to get on the scale...... YIKES!  I was writing my online discussion on "self car of the nurse", and was talking about how I need to eat better.  Then I remembered that during this unit while I wrote my paper on obesity, I ate a sleeve of Girl Scout cookies!  I would have eaten the whole box, but I had already devoured the first sleeve!  Guess tomorrow is a new day - I will start again.  I have been doing 156 and counting down for a long time now and am going nowhere FAST!!!!  Boxes of cookies don't help, but they do taste yummy!  Oh incase you were wondering - they were the Lemon Chalets!!!

Herbalife

Started something new today.  Not necessarily to lose weight, but to get and to stay healthy.  If the side effect is weight loss, then that will be a reward.  I am starting today at 148.6...... Let's see where this new adventure takes me!

OK, so here's the deal..... I sat down and looked at my pictures from Casino Night (This is one of the better ones).  I have decided that if I would really like to take of some recently added pounds!  In order to be successful, I think I will need to answer to someone, and who better to answer to than myself - RIGHT..... So, I am going to keep track of my progress right here on my BLOG.  And if others read it, even better!  Today I weighed in at 156, its a new starting weight.  So what am I doing.... well, I started counting "points" again (AKA weight watchers).  Maybe I will last longer than a month.  If not, I at least hope to eat well.  I also went for jog/walk... more of a walk, but I did jog a little, then my knee started acting up, you know, the one I hurt dancing at Casino Night last year!!!  Any way, the walk was 30 minutes in the hot blazing sun - GOOD TIMES, we will see how long I keep that up, but I need to do a little something as often as I can. I think I am more of a "Exercise in the air condition" kinda girl..... We'll see, maybe I can find one of my old Richard Simmons VHS tapes..... Regardless of what I do, I hope the next time I post something here about how I am doing, my number will be lower than 156!
